Shows, Cookies, Band Booster Meeting on Monday, and More!

Here's the schedule:
  • Tomorrow* (Saturday): Murphysboro Drums at Appletime - Call time 3:00 pm, performance at 6:30 pm, return at about 9:00 pm. 
  • Students need show shirts, shorts, black socks**, tennis shoes, band polo. May bring sweats/jacket for evening (black CTM logo, preferred).
  • Students may want a bus snack, and bring $5.00+ for concessions or a sack dinner. 
  • Easy competition to go to, just 15 minutes away in Murphysboro at the High School. Show starts at 4:30 pm. Admission is $7, $4 for kids 6-12, free for 5 and under. Come see the Marching Terriers perform! 
Next Week
  • Monday: 7:30 pm Band Booster Meeting. All parents and supporters are welcome! This is the best time to get your band questions answered, check your student's accounts. We'll be taking a look at upcoming contests, fundraisers, to make sure everything is in place.
  • Tuesday/Thursday: 6-9 PM Rehearsals as usual.
  • Wednesday: Look for Cookie/Pretzel orders to come in! These need to be delivered ASAP to your student's customers. Remember that these are FROZEN goods.
  • Friday: Home game vs. Cahokia. Call time 6:30 pm. 50/50 Raffle, Quatros and Larry's House of Cakes $10 gift certificates sold at Bleyer Field by the Band Boosters.
  • Saturday*: McKendree University Preview of Champions - Call time 1:00 pm (Eat Lunch before), performance at 6:30 pm, return at about 11:00 pm. 
  • Students need show shirts, shorts, black socks**, tennis shoes, band polo. May bring sweats/jacket for evening (black CTM logo, preferred). 
  • Students may want a bus snack, and bring $5.00+ for concessions or a sack dinner.

**Black socks must be worn at with uniforms at all performances. This has been an issue for some students. Please follow up with your student.
In other news... Last week at O'Fallon there was a professional photographer that took competition field shots of selected (random) students, a group photo, and a crazy group photo. You can view them at Jolesch Enterprises, search for Carbondale in the "Category" box. Some fine photos were taken, and some of you may want to take advantage of this opportunity. Mrs. Keene was on hand an snapped some (camera phone) pics as the photographer did, and those have been posted to the website.
