Newton/Robinson Saturday, Jazz/Strings Concert Thursday, and Oh, Some EIU Pics.

Here's the schedule for this week, a little late because the itinerary got complicated:
  • Tuesday: 6-9 PM Rehearsal. Check the weather, and encourage your student to dress for a chillier weather; we will still be practicing outside. No rehearsal on Thursday (Thursday rehearsals are over for the season).
  • Thursday: Jazz and Strings Concert: The Carbondale Terrier Music Program presents our first concert for the Jazz and Strings programs. Come listen to what they've been working on! Call Time for student performers is 6:30 PM; Free concert in the auditorium at 7:00 pm.
  • Saturday*: Robinson/Newton Double Header: There are 2 contests that we will attend on October 10, 2015. We have performed at both before. Newton is on the way to Robinson and is an afternoon event, Robinson is 30 minutes up the road and is an evening event.
  • Students need show shirts, shorts, black socks, tennis shoes, band polo. May bring sweats/jacket for evening (black, CTM logo preferred).
  • Eat breakfast before the morning call time of 8:00 AM! Pack a lunch for the bus ride up to Newton.
  • The Band Boosters will be buying pizza for dinner! In Robinson, the band will stop at the park for dinner. We have arranged for pizza to be delivered, we'll bring fruit and drinks with us, too.
  • We need COOKIES! We need 20 dozen cookies altogether for desert. Email President@marchingterriers.com to let Carol Brandenburg know how many dozen cookies you can send with your Marcher on Saturday. Please send the cookies on paper plates or in a disposable container.
  • Students will arrive home late, about 12:15 AM. Buses will need to be fully unloaded before students are released. Help out if you can!
*Updated Itinerary for Newton/Robinson is here, posted on our website, and detailed in the Google calendar.

Also... New pictures from last week's EIU event are up on the website.  Thanks to Jonathan Springer and Mindy Jarboe for their visual donations.
