Trip update from Peggy Ebbs

Money:  Students are receiving a $30 Disney meal card each day: Thursday, Friday, and Saturday to purchase lunch and dinner with.  Breakfast is at the hotel so tell them to eat big then since it's FREE.  Many students will be able to eat lunch and dinner with their $30 a day meal card.  If they are big eaters, will want desserts or extra drinks throughout the day they will need additional money.  The only other money they will need is for any souvenirs they want to buy (this is totally your/their choice).

On The Road:   Please have students bring their luggage to the side entrance to the stage (where fruit and poinsettias were picked up, under the awning) beginning at 7:30 AM that morning).  All student luggage should be dropped off before school.  Students are allowed 1 small carry-on bag to keep with them on the bus (backpack or small duffle), 1 suitcase to be placed under the bus, and their instrument will go under the bus.  Any carry on bags that are too big to fit in the overhead compartment in the bus will be placed under the bus. We will not have access to items under the bus until Thursday night so make sure any medicine and other necessities are in your carry-on!  Keep in mind that students are responsible for all valuable items.  We are not responsible for items left on the buses or in hotel rooms.  We won't have a lot of time to 'hang out' at the hotel so entertainment items should be limited.  There will be DVD movies shown on the buses for students to watch.

Clothes:  Students are being provided with T-shirts to wear each day we're in a park.  Students will be wearing their marching uniforms for the parade as well as their concert performance.  NO dress blacks are needed.  Uniforms are going down on the truck with the larger instruments.  Students need to be sure they have black socks and that their black marching shoes are with their uniform at school.  No swimsuits are needed, as we aren't going to any water parks and will not have time to swim at the hotel.

Cars:  Any students that need to leave their car at the high school should let Mr. T know.  He will be letting the school office know and will have students park together in the parking lot so that the school can better monitor the cars.
